The first SheetSolutions system was not a commercial product. It was a personal finance dashboard built to turn scattered transactions into something structured, visual, and useful.

The spreadsheet mattered less than the thinking behind it: clean inputs, understandable outputs, and a system that reduced manual mental work.

Build the system around the decision, not around the tool.

Then the system met a real business.

Short-term rental operations brought a different level of complexity: reservations, guest communication, payments, expenses, housekeeping, documents, and owner oversight all had to stay connected.

Instead of designing around a hypothetical SaaS problem, the product direction grew from operational friction that already existed.
